Description
BACTRIM is a combination of a sulphonamide and trimethoprim with antimicrobial action. BACTRIM is indicated in the case of infections caused by pathogens that are sensitive to the combination, such as:
Respiratory tract infections: bronchitis, sinusitis, middle ear infection, some forms of pneumonia,
Gastrointestinal infections: inflammatory bowel disease, traveler’s diarrhea, typhoid fever,
Urinary tract and kidney infections: acute cystitis,
Genital infections: prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate), adnexitis (inflammation of the ovaries),
Skin infections: boils (inflamed hair follicle containing pus), abscess, wound infection.
Other bacterial infections: acute brucellosis (in combination), “cat scratching” disease, prevention and treatment of toxoplasmosis, etc.
