Description
The active substance of Rimantadine 50 mg tablets – rimantadine hydrochloride, has a pronounced antiviral activity. It is effective against various influenza A viruses.
Rimantadine is an antiviral drug that is used in adults and school-age children in the early treatment of influenza A and prophylactically in adults during epidemics.

Rimantadine is taken with plenty of fluids after a meal. Admission should begin at the first symptoms of the disease. The effect of the drug is stronger if it is taken within the first 48 hours of the disease.
Influenza treatment:
In adults: on the first day – 100 mg (2 tablets) three times a day, on the second and third day – 100 mg twice a day, on the fourth and fifth day – 100 mg once a day. On the first day of the disease, it is possible to take 150 mg (3 tablets) twice a day or 300 mg (6 tablets) once.
In elderly patients over 65 years of age, the recommended daily dose is 100 mg (2 tablets) per day.
The duration of the course of treatment is 5 days.
In the prevention of influenza:
In adults, 50 mg once daily for up to 30 days.
