Victoza 6 mg / ml solution for injection in a pre-filled pen Liraglutide
How much to inject
Your treatment will start with a low dose and will gradually increase during the first five weeks.
When you first start using Victoza, the starting dose is 0.6 mg once a day for at least one week.
You should increase your dose by 0.6 mg each week until you reach the recommended dose of 3.0 mg once a day.
Your doctor will tell you how much Victoza to use each week. You will usually need to follow the table below.
Week 1 – 0.6 mg once daily;
Week 2 – 1.2 mg once daily;
Week 3 – 1.8 mg once daily;
Week 4 – 2.4 mg once daily;
Week 5 onwards – 3.0 mg once daily.
Once you reach the recommended dose of 3.0 mg in the 5th week of treatment, continue to use this dose until the end of the treatment period. Do not increase your dose further.
Your doctor will regularly evaluate your treatment.
Victoza is supplied as a clear, colorless or almost colorless solution for injection in a pre-filled pen. Each pen contains 3 ml of solution delivering 30 doses of 0.6 mg, 15 doses of 1.2 mg or 10 doses of 1.8 mg.
The needles are not included in the package.
