Description
Aurorix film-coated tablets contain the active substance moclobemide, which belongs to a group of medicines known as antidepressants. Aurorix is a reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase type A (RIMA), which causes a decrease in the metabolism of norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin (5-HT), leading to increased extracellular concentrations of these neuronal transmitters.
Aurorix is a medicine used to treat depression and social phobia.
How to take Aurorix
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is between one and two tablets, taken twice a day (ie between two and four tablets a day).
The tablets should always be taken after a meal with water.
