Description
Minocycline Ecopharm is a medicine that contains the active substance minocycline hydrochloride dihydrate. Minocycline is an antibiotic from the tetracycline group that has a bacteriostatic effect.
Minocycline Ecopharm is indicated for the treatment of the following infections:
skin infections: acne;
respiratory infections: community-acquired pneumonia; lung abscess;
infections of the gastrointestinal tract: acute cholecystitis; cholangitis; bacterial and amoebic dysentery;
urinary tract infections: pyelonephritis, pyelitis, prostatitis, cystitis, non-gonorrheal urethritis caused by Ureaplasma ixrealyticum and Chlamydia trachomatis;
gynecological infections: infections that developed after birth or abortion, metritis and adnexitis, most commonly caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.
Minocycline Ecopharm is indicated for the prevention of meningococcal meningitis in carriers of Neisseria meningitidis.
